What we collect, and what you can do about it
Your request, your contact details and your choices about optional cookies. This page says what happens to each of them.

What we collect when you write to us
Every form requires your name and email address so we can reply. That is all the rate-card form needs, apart from your consent to a reply. To price a work list, we also need the yacht’s length and year and the list itself. For a general enquiry, we need the question you want answered. Phone numbers and planning windows are optional.
With it we receive which page you sent the request from and which kind of request it was — a rate card, a work list or a question.
The second box. Under each form there is a second box, unticked. If you tick it, we may also send you occasional notes on yard periods, rates and class dates. It is separate from the first box on purpose: you can ask us to answer your request without agreeing to hear from us again. Every message carries a way to stop it, and you can tell us to stop at any time by writing to info@barsmarine.com.
What we collect while you read
We remember your cookie choice in your browser. Analytics and marketing tags are not currently enabled. If we enable them, they will only load for the categories you have accepted.
Google Tag Manager is planned to manage these optional tags. Analytics and marketing must wait for the relevant consent. If you say no, the site and its forms work the same. Google Fonts loads the typefaces when you open a page; this sends a font request to Google and is separate from analytics and marketing.
Changing your mind
Use Cookie settings at the foot of any page. You can turn either group off at any time, and it takes effect straight away.
Withdrawing consent stops further collection. It does not undo what was collected while it was on.
Why we hold it
To answer you, and to know which parts of this site are useful.
What you send us: to answer you — to send the rate card, to price your work list, or to reply to what you asked. If we go on to work on your yacht, the same details sit in the contract and the project file.
Optional tools, when enabled: to understand which pages are read and to reach people who have been here. This is the part that depends on your consent, and the part you can switch off.
On what basis. What you send through a form we process because you asked us to take steps before a contract — we cannot quote work without it. Analytics and marketing we process only on your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time. Where we later work on your yacht, the contract and Turkish tax and commercial law govern what we keep.
Nothing here decides anything about you. No score, no ranking, no automated decision. A person reads every request and replies to it.
Who else sees it
Five names, and what each of them does.
They process it for us and under contract. We do not sell your details and we do not pass them to anyone for their own use. We disclose them only where a court or the law requires it.
WhatsApp is not on this list. The button on our pages is a link. Nothing of Meta's runs here because of it. If you open it, you are on Meta's terms and Meta's privacy policy from that point, and the same is true of any other site we link to.
Where it goes
Bars Marine is in Türkiye, and what you send us is held here. If you write to us from the European Union or the United Kingdom, that means it leaves the EEA. Türkiye is not covered by an EU adequacy decision.
We hold it on the basis that you wrote to us yourself about work you are considering, and that the transfer is necessary to take the steps you asked for before any contract is entered into.
Google, Meta and Kommo may also process what they collect outside the EEA, under their own transfer arrangements.
How long we keep it, and how it is kept
What you send us: 24 months after our last contact, then we delete it. If we go on to work on your yacht, the project papers are kept for as long as the contract and the law require.
Analytics and marketing data are kept for the period set in each tool, and are deleted when it runs out.
Access is limited to the people who need it to answer you. The site runs over an encrypted connection, and the mailbox and the CRM are protected by the ordinary account controls of the services named above.
No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise. If something goes wrong with your details, we will tell you.
What you can ask us to do
Write to info@barsmarine.com and we will, within thirty days:
You do not have to give a reason.
Which law applies, and where to complain
We work under Turkish data protection law (KVKK, Law 6698). Where you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the GDPR applies to us as well.
Come to us first. If we do not put it right, you can complain to the Turkish authority (KVKK) or, if you are in the EU or the UK, to your own supervisory authority.
