What is inside an hour here
We publish what an hour costs. Put the figure next to the quotations already on your desk, and ask us the questions that come out of the difference.
The base labour rate, with no weekend or public-holiday uplift. Specialist trades are rated above it, and every rate is on the card.
From the person who would run your yard period, not from an inbox.
Credited to the owner on every yacht that books a slot.
The hour, taken apart
Reviewed 21 Aug 2026One published rate, and the line between what the hour covers and what appears on the quotation as its own line item. A figure you cannot take apart is a figure you cannot compare.
- The tradesman’s time on your yacht
- His tools and the yard’s workshop equipment
- Supervision by the project manager who runs your job
- The same rate on weekends and public holidays
- Equipment and units, supplied through the maker
- Materials and consumables
- Haul-out, launch and the days she stands
- Customs clearance and agency on parts
- Commissioning visits by the maker’s engineers
Lines marked “to be confirmed” are the ones that depend on what we find once the panels come off. They say so before you sign.
What the card carries
The card is built the same way the quotation is built: line by line, with a quantity, a unit and its hours on every line.
Send her particulars and the class event you are planning around, and the card arrives within one working day. Send your work list with them and the quotation comes back priced against it, line by line, rather than as one general figure.
After you send it
The rate card arrives within one working day, with the option of a call to go through what you are planning.
Your details are not passed on and are not used for anything else. If you would rather have an NDA in place before anything is exchanged, send us yours or ask for our template.
Get the rate card
No work list required. Published labour rates, haul-out and standing, warranty terms and yard capabilities — the whole card, so you can price a winter before you commit to anything.
Request the rate card
Send the yacht particulars, planning window and the material you already have. The yard team replies through the same documented request channel.
Request the rate cardIt arrives within one working day, from the person who would run your yard period. If a yacht is already under consideration, say which one and we will put her numbers next to the card.
Send your work list
When there is a yacht and a scope, this is the heavier step: we price your list line by line — quantity, unit and hours against every line item — so it can be laid beside another yard’s offer and compared like with like.
